5 Days from Fes to Marrakech
Day 1 – Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga
Your adventure begins in Fes as you leave the historic city and travel south toward the Sahara Desert. You cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Ifrane, a peaceful mountain town surrounded by forests and green landscapes. You then continue through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may see Barbary macaques. The journey continues toward Midelt, an important mountain town known for its beautiful surroundings. Afterward, you travel through the spectacular Ziz Valley, where palm groves grow between dry mountains and rocky landscapes. You continue through Erfoud before reaching Merzouga and the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes. In the afternoon, you enjoy a camel trek across the golden sand and watch the sunset from the dunes. Day 2 – Merzouga Desert Experience
Today, you have more time to experience the Sahara Desert around Merzouga. You wake early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, you explore the desert region by 4×4 and discover the landscapes surrounding the dunes. You visit traditional villages and learn about the lifestyle of local communities. You can also experience Gnawa music and discover an important part of the cultural heritage of southeastern Morocco. Depending on the season, you may visit the seasonal lake near Merzouga and observe the desert environment. Later, you return toward the dunes and have time to relax. You can walk through the sand, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, or simply admire the changing colors of the desert. Day 3 – Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
After breakfast, you leave Merzouga and travel toward Rissani. The town has a long history as an important trading center in the region. You can explore the traditional souk and discover local products, spices, dates, and handmade crafts. You then continue toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge. The road passes through beautiful desert and mountain landscapes before reaching the impressive canyon. At Todra Gorge, you walk between towering limestone cliffs and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The area is also popular with hikers and photographers because of its dramatic scenery. After the visit, you continue toward the Dades Valley. Day 4 – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

You pass through the Valley of Roses, where traditional villages and rose fields create beautiful scenery during the flowering season. You then continue toward Skoura, a green oasis filled with palm trees and historic kasbahs. After Skoura, you reach Ouarzazate and discover the city known for its film studios and traditional architecture. The journey then continues to Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You explore the ancient ksar and its narrow streets before continuing toward the High Atlas Mountains. The road crosses impressive mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages. Day 5 – Marrakech Guided Tour

You continue to the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs, where you discover important parts of Marrakech’s history and architecture.
