6 Day Marrakech to Fes & Chefchaouen via Desert

After breakfast, your Marrakech Fes desert tour continues southeast towards Merzouga. First, we travel through the spectacular landscapes of southern Morocco. The scenery gradually changes from mountains and valleys to dry desert landscapes.

Next, we continue through the Draa Valley and its palm groves. The valley is one of the most beautiful oasis regions in Morocco. Along the way, we make stops to enjoy the views and take photographs.

Afterwards, we continue towards the Todra Gorges. The impressive canyon is surrounded by high cliffs and offers excellent opportunities for photography. After exploring the area, we continue towards Erfoud and then Merzouga.

Finally, we reach the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you begin your camel trek into the Sahara. As the sun begins to set, the dunes take on beautiful golden colours.

Later, we reach the desert camp. You enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night in a Berber tent under the stars.

Wake up early to admire the spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, we leave the Merzouga desert and begin the journey towards Fes.

First, we travel through the Ziz Valley and continue towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. The landscape changes from desert scenery to green mountain forests.

Along the way, we pass through Midelt and continue towards Azrou. The cedar forest near Azrou is famous for its Barbary macaques. If conditions are suitable, you can see the monkeys and take beautiful photographs.

Next, we continue through Ifrane, a charming mountain town known for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Finally, we continue towards Fes.

The journey takes several hours, so we make stops along the way for breaks and photographs. Upon arrival in Fes, you check into your accommodation and relax.

After breakfast, we leave Fes and continue towards Chefchaouen. The journey takes us through the beautiful landscapes of northern Morocco.

Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted buildings, narrow streets, and relaxed atmosphere. Upon arrival, you have time to explore the historic medina at your own pace.

First, visit Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square in the old town. Then, walk through the blue streets and discover small shops, traditional houses, and local cafés.

Moreover, you can walk towards the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views over Chefchaouen and the surrounding Rif Mountains. The viewpoint is especially beautiful around sunset.

Finally, return to your accommodation in Chefchaouen and enjoy a relaxing evening in the Blue City.

After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and travel southwest towards Casablanca. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the Moroccan countryside and northern landscapes.

After arriving in Casablanca, we begin exploring the city. First, we visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of Morocco’s most famous landmarks. Its location beside the Atlantic Ocean makes it particularly spectacular.

Next, we continue towards the Corniche, Casablanca’s lively waterfront area. Here, you can enjoy the ocean views and take photographs.

Afterwards, we explore the historic Medina and discover another side of Morocco’s largest city. The contrast between traditional streets and modern Casablanca makes the city especially interesting.

Finally, we return to the hotel. You spend the night in Casablanca before the final journey to Marrakech.

The final day of your Marrakech Fes desert tour begins after breakfast. We leave Casablanca and travel south towards Marrakech.

The journey takes around two to three hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you have time to explore some of the city’s famous attractions.

First, you can visit Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the heart of the old city. The square becomes particularly lively in the afternoon and evening.

Next, explore the Bahia Palace and admire its traditional Moroccan architecture and beautiful courtyards. You can also visit the Koutoubia Mosque and walk through the surrounding medina.

Finally, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner before ending your journey. At the end of the day, we drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
