Day 1 – Marrakech to Dades Gorges via Ait Ben Haddou
Your 3 days Marrakech Merzouga tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech at around 8:00 am. First, we leave the city and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. The road offers panoramic views of mountain valleys and traditional Berber villages. Along the way, we make stops to enjoy the scenery and take beautiful photos.
We continue towards Telouat, where you can discover the historic kasbah associated with the Glaoui family. Afterwards, we continue towards the famous Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. Here, you enjoy a guided visit through the historic kasbah. This fortified village was an important stop on ancient caravan routes crossing southern Morocco. Today, it is also famous for its traditional architecture and its connection with international cinema.
Next, we continue towards Ouarzazate. We pass the famous film studios and Taourirt Kasbah before continuing towards the Skoura palm grove. The oasis is surrounded by palm trees and traditional kasbahs. Then, we cross the Valley of Roses and continue along the beautiful Dades Valley.
Finally, we reach the Dades Gorges. You enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 2 – Dades Gorges to Merzouga via Todra Gorges
After breakfast, we leave the Dades Gorges and continue towards the Sahara. First, we travel through the Dades Valley and stop at scenic viewpoints to photograph the traditional villages and surrounding landscapes.
Next, we continue to Tinghir and the impressive Todra palm grove. Here, we stop to enjoy the views and take photographs. Afterwards, we reach the Todra Gorges, where you can explore the dramatic canyon and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, the journey continues through Tinjdad and Jorf towards Erfoud. This region is famous for fossils and the ancient Tafilalt oasis. As we continue, the landscape becomes increasingly dry and desert-like.
Finally, we reach Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, your camel guide takes you on a camel ride across the golden dunes. The ride is a wonderful opportunity to experience the Sahara at a slower pace. Moreover, you can stop to admire the sunset and take memorable photographs.

Day 3 – Merzouga to Marrakech via the Draa Valley
The final day of your 3 days Marrakech Merzouga tour begins with an early start. First, wake up to enjoy the magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, you ride the camels back towards Merzouga.
Next, we continue towards the Tafilalt region and the Draa Valley. Along the way, we cross the Tazarine palm grove and enjoy the changing desert scenery. We then reach Nkob, a traditional village known for its many kasbahs. Here, we stop for lunch and take a short break.
Afterwards, we continue through the Draa Valley towards Agdz. The valley is famous for its palm groves, kasbahs, and traditional villages. In Agdz, we visit the historic Tamnougalt Kasbah and discover more about the heritage of southern Morocco.
Then, we continue towards Ait Saoun. Along the road, we make a photo stop to enjoy the panoramic views. We continue to Ouarzazate, where we take a short coffee break.
Finally, we cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and return to Marrakech. At the end of the day, we drop you off at your accommodation.
